A special car series called "Extreme" (by the way, this prefix hints at the level of equipment and design, and not at the attitude to sports or extreme tourism) officially appeared before the Russian public on August 21, 2017, at the same time domestic dealers began to officially accept orders for her.

Renault Kaptur Extreme looks fresh, beautiful and sporty, and it can be recognized against the background of a standard "brother" with all-LED Pure Vision headlights, 17-inch wheels of a unique design, painted in brown, and nameplates with the name of the special series on the front fenders. ...

"Extreme Kaptur" has the following dimensions: 4333 mm in length, 1813 mm in width (excluding rear-view mirrors) and 1613 mm in height.

Between the pairs of wheels, the car has a 2674 mm base, and under the bottom it has a 204 mm ground clearance.

Inside, the Renault Kaptur Extreme is identified by its two-tone perforated faux leather seats, anti-dimming rearview mirror, beige leather-wrapped steering wheel and door sill trims and stainless steel door sill trims with 'Extreme' lettering.

Otherwise, it echoes the base model - a beautiful and modern design, competent ergonomics, a five-seater interior layout and a trunk with a volume of 387 to 1200 liters.

For the special series "Kaptura" two petrol four-cylinder "aspirated" with a working volume of 1.6 and 2.0 liters with a multi-point "power supply" and a 16-valve structure, which generate 114 and 143 horsepower (156 and 195 N • m of torque), are declared, respectively.
The "junior" unit is combined exclusively with the X-Tronic variator and front-wheel drive transmission, and the "senior" - with a 6-speed "mechanics" or 4-speed "automatic" and all-wheel drive technology with a multi-plate clutch, which connects, if necessary, the wheels of the rear axle.

In technical terms, Renault Kaptur Extreme does not differ from the standard "brother" - it is based on the "Global Access" platform (it is also fairly modified "B0") with independent MacPherson struts in front. The structure of the rear suspension depends on the modification: for mono-drive versions it is a semi-dependent torsion beam, and for all-wheel drive versions it is a multi-link system.
In the "base" the car has an electric power steering and disc front (with ventilation) and drum rear brakes with ABS and EBD.

In the Russian market, the "extreme" version of "Captura" in 2017 is offered at a price of 1,125,000 rubles, while the version with a 2.0-liter unit will cost from 1,255,000 rubles.
The SUV boasts: front and side airbags, Pure Vision LED headlights, 17-inch wheels, ABS, EBD, ESP, multimedia system, dual-zone "climate", remote engine start, "cruise" and a bunch of other equipment.
