Yes, that's right - "Camry killer" - the Chinese are absolutely sure that their new "business sedan" with the "820" index will not only impose a tough competition on the famous "Camryuha", but also surpass it in popularity and sales volumes ...

The plans are "more than ambitious" and, probably, for this reason, the Lifan concern was in no hurry to bring the novelty to the Russian market - bringing every detail of it to the maximum possible (in Chinese realities) perfection.

What do we know about the "Camry killer"? Let's get a look…

Externally, the Lifan 820 Moorman partly resembles the "fifth Ford Mondeo", but there are also "purely Chinese" features in its exterior, which have recently become the "face of the company". Note the abundance of chrome trim elements, the presence of LED optics, rather dynamic (coupe-like) body contours and a stamped spoiler on the trunk.

Looking at the interior of the cabin - I would like to immediately note the "rusticity of the lines" (especially in the area of the center console), but the level of equipment and finishing materials, in appearance, are really impressive.

Leather upholstery (in the "top" trim levels) of the front seats (with pronounced lateral support) and the rear sofa (absolutely shapeless, but spacious) in combination with the combined trim of the inner part of the doors - looks not only "spectacular", but also very practical.

The volume of the luggage compartment, as befits a large sedan, is quite decent - 510 liters, but its shape is "not practical" - on the sides there are solid projections + arches of the trunk lid.

The Lifan Murman three-box (820) is quite consistent with the "E-segment" by European standards: its length is an impressive 4865 mm, the width of the body is 1835 mm, and the height rests against the mark of 1480 mm. The wheelbase of the sedan is 2775 mm.

Specifications. For the front-wheel drive sedan, two gasoline power units are prepared:

  • The "youngest" of them is already well known to us from the X60 crossover - an atmospheric 4-cylinder LFB479Q engine with a working volume of 1.8 liters with a return of 128 hp. (at 6000 rpm) and a thrust of 162 N • m (in the range of 4200-4400 rpm). This power unit is paired with a 5-speed "mechanics".
  • "Senior" - a joint development of the Chinese and the British company "Ricardo" - atmospheric 4-cylinder 2.4-liter unit with a capacity of 167 hp. (at 5700 rpm) and with a thrust of 226 N • m (in the range of 4000-4500 rpm), and it is combined with a 6-speed "automatic".

Fuel consumption is promised at the level of 7.7 liters per 100 km of "mixed" track for the "younger" engine, and the older one will be 1 liter "more voracious".

The maximum speed is limited to 179 km / h and 197 km / h, respectively. But the creators of this car are silent about the dynamics.

The Lifan Murman is based on a front-wheel drive bogie, and its body structure is characterized by extensive use of high-strength grades of steel.

The car is equipped with independent suspensions "in a circle": on the front axle it uses McPherson struts, and in the rear - a multi-link system (in both cases - with transverse stabilizers and telescopic shock absorbers).
The Chinese sedan is equipped with a steering center with hydraulic booster and disc brakes on each of the wheels (front - with ventilation), working in conjunction with ABS, EBD and other modern electronics.

Options and prices. In the Russian market, "Murman" in 2017 is sold exclusively with a 128-horsepower engine in a single configuration, for which dealers ask for a minimum of 949,900 rubles.
The standard four-door boasts: two front airbags, the ERA-GLONASS system, ABS, EBD, ESP, light and tire pressure sensors, rear parking sensors, keyless entry to the salon, air conditioning, heated front seats, an audio system with six speakers, 16- inch wheels and many other equipment.
