Two-door Mercedes-Benz C-class - rear or all-wheel drive mid-size model of the premium segment, available in two "guises": a closed coupe and a convertible with a folding soft top ... ...

The closed modification of the two-door model with the in-house marking "C205" celebrated its official premiere in September 2015 - on the stage of the Frankfurt Motor Show, and the open version "A205" made its debut exactly one year later - at the Paris Motor Show.

In March 2018, the German automaker declassified the restyled versions of the coupe and convertible, which were slightly transformed inside and out, armed with new engines and expanded their functionality with new modern systems.

The exterior of the Mercedes-Benz C Coupe / Cabrio is characterized by a dynamic and sporty design with a long bonnet and a powerful waistline, and its swiftness is evident even in static conditions. The front part was inherited by the car from the "original sedan", but the stern is painfully reminiscent of the outlines of the "older" two-door S-class.

"Tseshka" in a two-door body has the following overall dimensions: 4685 mm in length, 1810 mm in width and 1409-1420 mm in height. From the total length, 2840 mm are allocated to the distance between the axles, and the minimum clearance is 130 mm.

The interior migrated to the two-door C-class from the W205 sedan without any major changes: a sports multi-steering wheel with a three-spoke design, dashboard “wells” and a stylish dashboard with a large screen, three ventilation “nozzles” and a minimum number of control elements.

In the front, there are seats with reinforced side support and integrated headrests, and in the back there is a sofa molded for two passengers.

The power palette of the restyled coupe / convertible Mercedes C-class also inherited from the three-volume model - four-cylinder units with direct injection that meet the environmental requirements of "Euro-6".

  • The petrol "team" is expressed by two turbo engines with a volume of 1.5-2.0 liters, developing from 184 to 258 horsepower and from 280 to 370 Nm of torque.
  • The "heavy fuel" variant is represented by a 2.0-liter turbodiesel generating 194 hp. and 400 Nm of peak thrust.

All motors are by default equipped with a 9-band "robot" with a pair of clutches and rear-wheel drive, and all-wheel drive versions are also equipped with a 4MATIC transmission.

As for the "pre-reform" model, it was equipped with petrol "fours" with a volume of 1.6-2.0 liters, producing 156-245 hp. and 250-370 Nm of torque, and a 2.1-liter diesel unit, which (depending on the degree of boost) produces 107-204 hp. and 400-500 Nm of available capacity.

In technical terms, the two-door is identical to its "donor": a modular rear-wheel drive "bogie" MRA, double-wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear, adaptive electric power steering and disc brakes on all wheels (front ones with ventilation) with a host of electronic assistants.

The optional AirMatic air suspension is available for the C-class Coupe / Cabriolet.

In Russia, the updated Mercedes-Benz C-class coupe has been available since May 2018 in two modifications - C 180 and C 200 4Matic (and each of them is in the “Premium” and “Sport” trim levels). As for the convertible, it is not supplied to our country.

A two-door with a 150-horsepower engine in the basic version costs from 2,640,000 rubles, and for the all-wheel drive version you will have to pay another 230,000 rubles.

By default, the car has: seven airbags, single-zone climate control, 16-inch steel wheels, ABS, ESP, multimedia system, power windows, LED headlights, heated front seats, light and rain sensors, a rear-view camera and other "chips".

The "sports" version is offered at a price of 2,770,000 rubles (with an 184-horsepower engine - 250,000 rubles more). He additionally "flaunts": light-alloy "rollers" 18 inches, a combined leatherette and fabric trim, AMG body kit and a sports chassis.
