The Los Angeles Auto Show, held in 2012, revealed the Jaguar XFR-S to the world - the most powerful sports sedan in the history of the British company by that time. World sales of the "extreme" model began in the summer of 2013, and at the end of March 2014 it reached the Russian market.
The exterior design of the Jaguar XFR-S reflects the vehicle's aggressive and assertive character.
It differs from the "charged" XFR with an even more aggressive body kit that improves aerodynamic performance. The front bumper carries a huge area of air intakes, and on the powerful rear bumper there is a diffuser with a "quartet" of the exhaust system. A truly "extreme" look is created by inflated sills on the gods, "gills" on the front fenders, exclusive 20-inch rims and a large spoiler on the trunk lid.
The length of the British sports sedan is 4961 mm, height - 1460 mm, width - 1877 mm. The wheelbase of the car fits into 2909 mm, and the ground clearance in the curb condition cannot be more than 130 mm.
Inside, the Jaguar XFR-S differs from its less powerful sibling with only a few touches that boil down to the "R-S" logos and a different trim pattern. In the arsenal of the "extreme" sedan there is a luxurious salon with a "family" design, high-tech filling and expensive finishing materials. For all its sportiness, the car has not lost its practicality: it is able to take on board up to five adults (although four will be most comfortable) and 500 liters of luggage in the luggage compartment.
Under the hood of the Jaguar XFR-S, ready to throw, a truly "predatory cat" - 5.0-liter V-8 with a displacement supercharger and direct injection, producing 550 horsepower at 6500 rpm and 680 Nm of peak thrust, issued in the range from 2500 to 5500 rpm.
All this power is supplied to the wheels of the rear axle through a sequential 8-band automatic transmission, as a result, the exercise "from 0 to 100 km / h" the car does in just 4.6 seconds, and at 300 km / h the peak of possibilities is forcibly limited. For this you have to pay with a rather big appetite - 11.6 liters in the combined cycle.
The Jaguar XFR-S sports sedan is based on the "charged" XFR, from which it differs in a stiffer suspension, a retuned active electronic differential and enlarged brake discs (380 mm in front, 378 mm in the rear). In other design parameters, the cars are similar.
In Russia, the most powerful X-ef is offered at a minimum price of 6,732,000 rubles.
The car stands out not only for its aggressive appearance and powerful technology, but also for its rich basic equipment: premium "music", dual-zone climate control, leather interior, a lot of modern systems and assistants that ensure comfort and safety.
