"Fourth" Volkswagen Multivan

The fourth incarnation of the Volkswagen Multivan minivan, built on the basis of the 6th generation Transporter, along with the entire T6 range debuted in April 2015 in Amsterdam, and at the end of summer its official sales began. The car has absorbed the best qualities from the usual cargo-and-passenger "Transporter", but reinforced them with a premium essence.

Externally, the Volkswagen Multiven T6 differs little from the “Transporter Kombi” minibus - bumpers painted in body color, tinted glass in the passenger compartment and chrome decor, and in the “top” trim levels there is also LED lighting technology in front and rear. Thanks to these touches, the car looks modern and respectable, as befits the flagship of the line.

External dimensions "Multiven" are as follows: 4904 mm in length, 1904 mm in width (2297 mm including mirrors) and 1970 mm in height. The distance between the axles of the car is 3000 mm.

The front part of the interior of the Volkswagen Multivan T6 almost exactly copies the interior design of the Transporter, and all the differences are concentrated in the back.

On the second row there are two separate armchairs, which can be rotated around their axis by 360 degrees, and on the third row there is a comfortable three-seater sofa. The main advantage of the minivan is the wide possibilities of transformation of the passenger compartment, achieved by the rail system - it not only allows you to place the rear seats as conveniently as possible, but also to dismantle them altogether, turning the car into a "cargo van".

Specifications. Under the hood of the 6th generation Multiven, a diverse palette of power plants is installed, in particular 2.0-liter TDI diesel engines and turbocharged gasoline units with direct injection of the same volume.

  • The first are "fours" with a capacity of 102 to 180 "horses", issuing from 250 to 400 Nm of peak thrust,
  • to the second - motors with a return from 150 to 204 horsepower, the potential of which reaches 280-350 Nm of torque.

The car is equipped with a 5- or 6-speed "mechanics", or a 7-speed robotic DSG box with two clutches.

By default, the entire supply of traction is directed to the wheels of the front axle, and an all-wheel drive 4MOTION transmission with Haldex multi-plate clutch is available as an option.

In terms of the design of the main components, the Volkswagen Multivan T6 minivan is indistinguishable from its less prestigious "brothers": independent suspension with MacPherson struts in front and multi-link layout at the rear, rack and pinion steering with hydraulic booster, ventilated disc brakes on the front and disc brakes on the rear wheels with ABS and EBD.

Price for the sixth generation of "Multivena" 2015-2016 on the Russian market starts at 2,387,000 rubles.

The functionality of the car combines: front and side airbags, semi-automatic air conditioning, front and rear parking sensors, rain and light sensors, heated front seats, a standard audio system and ABS, EBD and ESP systems.
The list of optional equipment includes an adaptive chassis, full LED headlights, three-zone climate control, alloy wheels, two-tone body paint and much more.
